Why I am Running for Clerk & Recorder
My name is Wyatt Schwendeman-Curtis, and I am a Democrat running for the Larimer County Clerk & Recorder special election in 2024. I am running because I want to ensure our elections stay safe and secure, to make sure every vote counts, to ensure the youth vote is represented on campuses, to protect same-sex marriage, and to ensure our rural communities have a voice and a seat at the table.
We live in a large county, and I want to ensure no one has to struggle to get a marriage license or even a new registration sticker for their car. I want to modernize the Clerk's office operations. Even though I am a Democrat, this should be looked at as a nonpartisan position that needs strong leadership. I hope to be that person and earn every vote.
Our Democracy is more fragile than ever before, and as your Larimer County Clerk & Recorder, Election Transparency is a top priority for me. I hope to greatly increase communication between the Clerk's office and the citizens of Larimer across the board, but especially during election time.
